We produce four mainstage productions every year. Students work alongside faculty members and form professional relationships with faculty and guest artists.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
by William Shakespeare

A classic Shakespearean comedy enjoys new life on the TV stage. Lifelong fre-nemies, Beatrice and Benedick (a cynical spinster and an eternal bachelor), are tricked into believing the other is in love with them. At the same time a plot to corrupt the reputation of a young bride goes awry causing chaos and dissension in the lives of family and friends. Through clever scheming and intervention, the truth is eventually revealed, misunderstandings put aside, lovers are reconciled and the play comes to a happy close.

PASSAGE

Step into the mesmerizing world of Passage, a captivating theatrical journey inspired by the timeless classic, E.M. Forster’s A Passage to India. An unlikely friendship unfolds against the backdrop of the fictional Country X, which is controlled by Country Y. A local doctor and an expat teacher embark on a transformative journey where their new-found friendship faces challenges that delve deep into the complexities of power dynamics and social structures. Will their friendship transcend the boundaries of race, ethnicity and gender? Join us for an evening that explores the tapestry of human connection.

SENSE AND SENSIBILITY

Delightfully tongue-in-cheek, Kate Hamill's adaptation of Jane Austen’s cherished novel, brings to life the Dashwood sisters, the sensible Elinor and the sensitive Marianne. Faced with 18th-century England’s rigid social conventions, the sisters cope with the pressures of class, wealth and reputation. Plunged into financial uncertainty following their father’s demise, they embark on a whirlwind of romantic entanglements, colorful neighbors and the tantalizing prospect of a future brimming with hope. Fans of Austen and those new to her work will be charmed by Hamill’s refreshing and light-hearted take on the classic.
