Cost of Attendance
Each year the Office of Financial Aid creates a Cost of Attendance (COA). The COA represents an estimate of average expenses a student may have for the academic year. It also represents the maximum amount of financial aid you can utilize for the academic year.
A COA includes direct expenses such as tuition, housing and food, and indirect expenses such as books, transportation and personal expenses.
- Direct expenses are items that appear on a billing statement.
- Indirect expenses do not appear on a billing statement but should be considered in your budget to attend.
The COA is based on full-time enrollment and will be adjusted for students with less than full-time enrollment. Your eligibility for need-based financial aid is determined by reviewing your FAFSA data and your COA.
