Apartment & Cottage Applications

Students planning to apply for an apartment or cottage need to fill out the Housing Application in their . Select 鈥淓ntering the selection process for a hall, cottage or apartment鈥� within the application and click Save/Continue to complete the rest of the application.

After filling out your Housing Application, you will be eligible to apply for available apartments/cottages. Only currently enrolled returning students are eligible to apply in the Apartment/Cottage Application Process. Students who are studying abroad for the fall semester may not participate in the cottage/apartment process. They will be part of the spring 2026 housing process that starts in November 2025. In addition, new incoming and transfer students are not eligible for this housing process.

Open apartments and cottages are distributed to students based on the groups鈥� cumulative earned credit score. Because of the varied sizes of apartments and cottages, there are multiple due dates to be considered for different configurations. 

• We distribute apartments and cottages to the top credit-bearing group and will continue down the list until all apartments have been distributed, giving consideration to balance the amount of male/female groups and those with approved housing accommodations.
• If you receive an apartment, your group will be sent an email stating the apartment or cottage you received and your group will have until noon the following day to confirm you would like the unit. If it is not confirmed by then, your group will forfeit your awarded unit, and it will be given to the next group.
• After you have confirmed you want the unit, the housing office will assign each person listed on the application to the specific cottage or apartment awarded.  

If you do not receive an apartment or cottage, you can reconfigure your group and
apply for an apartment/cottage process that is still available. If you do not get an apartment/cottage assigned to you through the apartment/cottage process, you will be automatically added to the Open Room Selection process, which will take place on April 8 and 9. This information and available applications are subject to change prior to the opening on the applications on Feburary 3, 2025.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The average credit range provided below is based on the previous year applications and subject to change year to year.  The credit range is a guide only and does not guarantee your group a housing unit if you fall within the credit range listed!
